Hiking and outdoor recreation

The hiking opportunities in Lemmenjoki range from visiting a nature trail to several weeks of hiking through the wilderness. The National Park has 60 kilometres of marked trails and infinite possibilities for choosing your own paths in the wilderness. Most of the marked trails meander through the diverse environments of the unique old-growth forests of Lemmenjoki River Valley and the fells bordering them. There are many huts and campfire sites along the trails where you can rest when out and about.
