Lammassaari Recreation Area in the Heinunlahti bay on Lake Vanaja is a scenic rest area for those arriving by water where you can enjoy the leafy island, a natural beach and blooming anemones in the spring.

Lammassaari can be reached by canoe, kayak and boat. In the winter, when the ice is thick enough, you can walk to the island on the ice. In the winter, Lammassaari is a great destination for skiing or tour skating.
There is a lean-to shelter and a campfire site on the island. Landing is possible for small boats, but the rocky shore requires caution.
