• From Rovaniemi it is 100 km to Koivuköngäs parking area and 115 km to Saukkovaara parking area. To get to either place take road 81 (Rovaniemi-Posio) from Rovaniemi.
• From Posio it is 30 km to Saukkovaara along the Posio-Rovaniemi road.
• To Lapiosalmi 20 km by way of road Posio-Ranua.
• You can reach Korouoma from Posio and Rovaniemi via the village of Pernu. From Pernu, turn onto Koppelojärventie Road at the Korouoma signposts and drive 2 km. Then turn right at the Korouoma sign and drive 3 km to Saukkovaara.

The starting point for the Koronjää and Piippukallio pihaus day trails is the Saukkovaara parking area

There is no direct public transport to Korouoma.
