Kopparnäs-Störsvik recreation area is located right on the border of Inkoo and Siuntio. Kopparnäs, which is part of Inkoo, is characterised by the many areas of exposed rock. Perhaps the most impressive sea views can be enjoyed from the top of Rävberget or from the lower Bergudden viewpoint. Between the areas of rock, you'll find forests, meadows, wetlands and fields.
Störsvik is located in Siuntio, and its landscape ranges from lush alder groves to sandy beaches and old-growth forests further inland. The rocky areas are mostly flat, but the area also has some steep cliffs.
Remnants of the area's colourful history are visible in the form of ancient burial sites and the foundations of Finland’s first wind turbines. After the wars, the region was part of the Porkkala leased area. Only stone foundations remain of the destroyed buildings and cottages of Kopparnäs manor.
In addition to the extensive mainland area, the recreation area also includes some islands. Services are mainly concentrated on the island of Stora Halsö. A lot of birds use the archipelago as a nesting site so it is important not to disturb them, especially in spring and early summer.
There are accessible services by the sea at Bergudden and at Sandfjärden. From Sandfjärden an easy trail leads all the way to Klobbackantie.
The area has multiple waymarked circular trails, which allow visitors to explore both the coast and the forests, as well as open cliffs and sandy beaches. Many points along the way offer magnificent sea views. The trails are suitable for both walking and cycling. When cycling, please be mindful of other users and adjust your speed accordingly.
