In the Archipelago Sea, you can stay at campsites, in your boat at the shores of various islands, in open wilderness huts, and on Örö with options for hotel, hostel, or cottage accommodation. There are also other rental cottages available on different islands in the area.

Camping

  • Camping is only permitted in designated camping areas.
  • When camping, be considerate towards other hikers and those staying overnight. They may be tired after their day’s hike and wish to enjoy the peace and quiet of nature.

Huts

  • A wilderness hut is shared accommodation where self-guided hikers can rest and spend the night free of charge.
  • By following the hut etiquette, you take the environment, safety and other hikers into consideration. Read the instructions and hut etiquette that can be found in the hut.

In the Archipelago National Park, there are three wilderness huts with accommodation for 2-4 people.

  • Gärskär wilderness hut is located in the southern part of the Archipelago cooperation area, in the Vänö archipelago, south of Yxskär.
  • Konungsskär wilderness hut is located in the northern part of the Archipelago cooperation area, west of Stora-Hästö.
  • Notvarpharun wilderness hut in the central part of the Archipelago cooperation area, on a small islet called Notvarpharun, east of Kråskär.

  • Konungsskär Open wilderness hut

    Archipelago National Park, Parainen. Coordinates: Euref-Fin (~ WGS84) lat: 60° 03.8628' lon: 21° 34.8166' ETRS-TM35FIN: N: 6670951 E: 198514. The open wilderness hut is a shared and free resting and overnight place for independent hikers. You can stay in wilderness huts for one or two nights without a reservation. Be prepared for the possibility that there may not be enough space to sleep in the hut. Facilities * Sleeping places for 4. * Heating with a stove. * No drinking water point. * No waste management. Take your own waste out of the area. * Bring your own cooking utensils. There is a wood stove in the hut. * Pets are allowed in the hut only with the consent of other users.   • Gärskär Open wilderness hut

    Archipelago National Park, Kemiönsaari. Coordinates: Euref-Fin (~ WGS84) lat: 59° 49.9449' lon: 22° 02.2208' ETRS-TM35FIN: N: 6643169 E: 221949. The hut is suitable for summer use. The open wilderness hut is a shared and free resting and overnight place for independent hikers. You can stay in wilderness huts for one or two nights without a reservation. Be prepared for the possibility that there may not be enough space to sleep in the hut. Facilities * Sleeping places for 2. * You can't have a fire in the hut. * No drinking water point. * No waste management.   • Notvarpharun Open wilderness hut

The open wilderness hut is a shared and free resting and overnight place for independent hikers. You can stay in wilderness huts for one or two nights without a reservation. Be prepared for the possibility that there may not be enough space to sleep in the hut. Facilities * Sleeping places for 2. * Heating with a stove. There is also a hot plate in the hut. * No drinking water point. * No waste management.   • Holiday apartments of Hårdasnäset in Örö

    Örö Linnakesaari

    Örö is located on a former fortress island. The location is 13 km from the mainland in the Archipelago Sea, about 30 to 60 minutes crossing from Kasnäs. Örö's is a wonderful place for relax and enjoy the peace of nature. The holiday apartment has two bedrooms, each with two separate beds, living room with sofa bed and dining set for 6-8 people, kitchen, bathroom/toilet, TV. A total of 4 beds and a double sofa bed. Bed linen and a towel are included in the price. In the kitchen, you can find the necessary equipment for food preparation and dishes for eating. There are 4 apartments in total and they have each a slightly different interior design. Our accomodation are open all year round. The apartments have a cozy atmosphere.   • Naawa Nature Camp

    Naawa - Nature Awakening

    Naawa Nature Camp is a small nature area close to the harbour of Galtby in Korpo where You can take the ferry to the Åland islands or continue on the Archipelago trail towards Houtskär. At Naawa Nature Camp You can find three luxurious Tentsiles-tents for accommodation, Amok hammocks, a lean-to shelter and a few camping spots. There is also a fireplace, a sauna and an outdoor toilet for the guests.

  • Guest Harbour Korpoström

    Archipelago Centre Korpoström

    Relax in a full-service guest harbour! Since the Middle Ages, Korpoström has been an important hub for seafaring in the Archipelago Sea. The village of Österkalax, where Korpoström's guest harbour is located, has historically served the ships and their crews with pilotage, an inn and shops. Over the years, the area has changed and today the business is managed by Archipelago Centre Korpoström. Korpoström's charming guest harbour is open daily throughout the summer season, from the beginning of June to the end of August. Services are also available on request outside the summer season. The harbour serves boaters with a sauna, laundry (for a charge), restaurant and shop. The coordinates of the harbour are 60°06.6‘N 21°36.0’E, you can also find the harbour on page 717 of the nautical chart.     Our hotel in Örö is located on a former fortress island. The location is 13 km from the mainland in the Archipelago Sea. Örö's is a wonderful place for relax and enjoy the peace of nature. Our hotel rooms are located in the historical 12'' barracks building close to the restaurant. The breakfast is included the roomprice. Hotel has it's own lounge and a terrace with a sea view.   • Hotel Korpoström

    Archipelago Centre Korpoström

    Hotel Korpoström offers a comfortable and relaxing environment for holidays and recreation on the idyllic island of Korpo! Completed in 2009, our hotel has modern amenities and services so that you can enjoy your holiday to the fullest. Our hotel has 16 comfortable rooms, most of which have a wonderful sea view. The rooms are equipped with toilet, shower, TV and wireless internet connection. Two of the rooms are family rooms, for up to four people, equipped with a bunk bed. The other 14 rooms are double rooms that can be equipped with an extra bed if necessary. Our guests also have the possibility to use the sauna. During the summer season, access to the sauna during the public sauna hours is included in the price, so you can pamper yourself in the steam. It is of course also possible to book a private sauna session for a small fee. The hotel price also includes a delicious breakfast, served in the restaurant.
