A part of the duckboard trail belonging to the Tunturiaapa Nature Trail is closed for safety reasons. The closed section is approximately 500 m long and runs from the middle of the mire area to the edge of the forest bordering the Ukonhattu Fell. The duckboards in the closed section are in very poor condition, and it is no longer safe to use them. It is still possible to visit the mire from the direction of Tiaislaavu lean-to shelter and return the same way. Other than the closed section, the nature trail can be used normally.
