Luomusjärvi Ridge

Luomusjärvi Ridge which cuts through Lake Luomusjärvi starts a few kilometres from Sulaoja. The highest parts of the ridge rise to over 20 metres above the surface of the lake.

The End of the Kevo Canyon

About 1 km north of Suohppášaja campfire and camping site there appears a wondrous view to the canyon. The scenery from the southern end of the Kevo Canyon is famous. This view to the gorge valley underneath is ruggedly beautiful.

Among the haze looms a vaccine-like stream.

Fiellu Waterfall

The picturesque River Fiellujoki falls 26 metres into the Kevo Canyon at approximately the halfway point of the trail. The fog bank under the waterfall dowses the plants in a large area.

The waterfall falls into a flowing river surrounded by vegetation in the fall.

The view of the Njakaljärvi Lakes

At the north end of the canyon route as the trail comes to the edge of the canyon a breathtaking view of the Njakaljärvi Lakes opens below the hiker. The lakes are wider parts of the River Kevojoki and they can be tens of metres deep. The lakes continue along the bottom of the canyon for several kilometres and look like a string of pearls.

Kuivi Trail

There is a 4 km long trail from Kuivi open wilderness hut to the top of Guivitunturi Fell. From the top of the fell there is a spectacular view of Kaldoaivi Wilderness Area and Kevo Strict Nature Reserve.
