Haahka’s demanding accessible trail, 120 m one-way

 

Pampskatan trail, 1.4 km

Pampskatan trail is an easy walking trail in the southern tip of Porkkalanniemi headland. It takes the hiker all the way to Pampskatan with its amazing sea views.

Sights
The highlight of the trail is the sea views of Pampskatan at the southernmost point of the route. You can also admire Porkkala seascapes from Merikotka cooking shelter.

Route description
Follow red markers. While the beginning of the trail from Porkkalan portti parking area to Merikotka cooking shelter is easy, the southern end in Pampskatan will challenge walkers with a steep climb.

Vetokannas trail, 2.1 km

Meandering through the forest, Vetokannas trail offers glimpses of the sea in between the trees from time to time. Near the half-way  point, the trail passes by several Iron Age burial mounds. On the southern section of the trail, hikers can enjoy sea views in  many places.

Sights
Spectacular seascapes are never too far. Bronze Age burial mounds.

Route description
Follow red markers.
As a suggestion, you can start your walk in Vetokannas parking area and finish with the windswept sea views of Haahka. You can also easily extend your hike by combining it with the Teleberget and Pampskatan trails.

Teleberget Trail, 2.2 km

Teleberget Trail is a short and easy loop trail around Telegrafberget hill. The trail will lead you to a Bronze Age burial site, several lookout points with sea views and two campfire sites; Lokki and Haahka.

Sights 
The trail has several lookout points with sea views. It also leads past a Bronze Age burial site. 

Route description
Follow yellow markers.
The trail has three starting points, or the parking areas of Hirviniitty, Porkkalanportti or Haahka. You can also combine it with the Vetokannas trail. The easiest section of the trail runs between Hirviniitty parking area and Lokki campfire site.  A large part of the trail goes across cliffs, which may be slippery in wet conditions.
