Groups visiting Hossa can order a versatile presentation of the national park, which tells more about the area's history, nature, places and various recreational opportunities. The presentation will be held in the auditorium of Hossa Visitor Centre and it lasts 45–60 minutes. The maximum size of a group is 25 people, larger groups can be booked several presentation sessions if necessary. Presentations are held on weekdays Mon-Fri and the price is 90 euros/presentation. The diverse camping services guarantee a relaxing camping holiday surrounded by breathtaking scenery. Karhunkainalo campsite in Hossa is open from March to October. Karhunkainalo campsite is located in the enchanting landscape of Hossa National Park, on the shore of Lake Öllöri. The campsite has 49 caravan spots with electrical connections and tent places. The cooking and dining facilities in the maintenance building are free for guests to use. Under the same roof, one will find toilets, showers, non-stop saunas and baby changing facilities, as well as facilities for laundry and ski maintenance. There is also a sauna for rental on the shore of Öllöri. The visitor centre’s dining, program and guidance services are available as part of a camping holiday. It is possible to take care of chemical waste for RVs and caravans at the campsite.
Hossa’s biking trails allow you to speed along on a bike. The Jatkon valkea trail is easy and suitable for beginners. Kokalmuksen kierros trail and Harjujen huikonen trail are intermediate. The Sininen saavutus trail is demanding and requires more mountain biking skills. The biking trails along the ridges, level heaths and shores offer varying grounds with a constantly changing scenery. The roads to other travel destinations are a nice addition to the range of trails. The wide tyres of a mountain bike provide you with the best grip in Hossa’s landscape. The tyres on a fatbike are even wider. Fatbikes are also suitable for winter cycling, given that the size of the tyre allows them to travel in the snow. Hossa visitor centre’s café-restaurant Lounaja is located in the premises of Hossa nature centre. The café-restaurant is open from 1.3.-31.10. The wholesome home cooking provided at Hossa will certainly energise those taking part in trekking and other outdoor pursuits. In addition, trekking center also provide coffee and small snacks during reception opening hours. During the summer season, lunch is offered on a daily basis (from 12 am to 4 pm), whilst lunches or dinners are also available at other times by arrangement. We serve groups by agreement. The renovated premises of the Visitor Centre can host meetings for about 20 people. The meeting room is equipped with modern technology with sound systems and video projectors. Lumberjack’s apartment Pääpirtti is a good option for those looking for a more wilderness gathering space. The log cabin is suitable for four persons. There are two single beds and an extra bed for two persons. It has an outhouse, a stove and cooking equipment. Pets are not allowed, smoking is not allowed. Körmelö is a unique accommodation cabin assembled from the logs of two different buildings in 2021, placed in the Riihelä yard district of Kainuun Luontoretket. It's atmosphere can best be experienced by visiting the site. The log cabin is wheelchair accessible. There are slopes at both ends of the building. The outside toilet is also wheelchair accessible. You can also access the main building, the beach, the lean-to and the beach sauna with a wheelchair.
