Revontuli Resort - Glass Cabin

Glass Igloos/Cabins in Revontuli Resort are a memorable experience for any season. The surrounding nature and the lake view in front of the panorama windows are like a seasonally changing art exhibition. All the Glass Igloos has a lake view from the bedroom. All Sky Aurora Igloos are located next to the lakeside Sauna World, with a view to the saunas and the lake behind them. The most magnificent is the view from Deluxe Igloos right by the lake shoreline, and from the two-storey Tigloos behind them.

Suopirtti Bed & Breakfast

Suopirtti farm is a traditional cottage surrounded by fields and forests. The yard is resided by Highland Cattle, a guard dog and four cats. Relaxation in the countryside comes easy, as you can sit in the garden entertained by the skillful swallows or by an exciting book. If spending your night in the traditionally furnished rooms seems too ordinary, you can also try sleeping in a tree tent by Tentsile. There is no feeling like lying above the ground, only you and the thousands of stars. All of this is easily reached as the Suopirtti farm is only one kilometer from the main road number 69. (The small village is called Istunmäki) The popular Southern Konnevesi National Park is just around the corner.

Whether you came alone, with your partner, family or a bigger group of friends, you will find a suitable cabin option from Revontuli Resort. All of the cabins can also be used in wintertime. The cabins are only a short walk away from the restaurant and other services of Revontuli Resort. The beach and golf course are right next to the cabins. There is no feeling like lying above the ground, only you and the thousands of stars. Relax and listen to concert of hundreds of birds, amazing view of the field. Tentsile tent is up the hill 0,5km from the farm. You'll have your breakfast and sauna at the farm. You can choose would you like sauna in the evening or in the morning. Take your own sleeping bag, pillow and sleeping pad included.

Outdoor Express: The rentable Silmu sauna cabin in Southern-Konnevesi National Park

Fall in love with the traditional Finnish atmosphere of the Silmu sauna cabin! During the Outdoor Express weekends of summer 2025, you can rent a canoe or kayak from airopari.fi and paddle your way to a night at the Silmu sauna cabin! Enjoy the soothing warmth of the sauna and take a refreshing dip in the pristine waters of Southern-Konnevesi! From the cabin, you'll have a unique view of an osprey nesting island just a short distance away. You can observe the osprey's nesting activities from the cabin's terrace or while relaxing on the pier. (Remember to respect the osprey’s nesting peace! The osprey's nesting tree is protected.) The Silmu sauna can accommodate multiple bathers at once, reducing unnecessary firewood consumption. The sauna's dressing room is also spacious. The cabin's shore has a sandy bottom and a gently sloping depth. There's a small, simple fire pit by the shore. A small trail from the cabin leads to a lean-to shelter at the northern tip of Silmu Island, where you can enjoy a campfire outing if you wish. The Silmu sauna cabin has a long and sturdy pier, suitable for larger boats as well. The Silmu Island sauna cabin operates on a reservation-based system. The renter is responsible for cleaning the cabin. Cabin Amenities: Small kitchen with tableware and cutlery for six, a gas stove, and a small wood-burning stove. Cooking essentials: frying pan, pot, coffee pot, and other utensils. Dining area with a table set and a sofa. Bedding: pillows and blankets, plus two hammocks. Lighting: candles and lanterns. No electricity in the cabin. Phone charging option (bring your own compatible charging cable!). Terrace with a table set for six. Hammock stands. Camping beds and sleeping pads. We have 3 cottages. Each cottage accommodates 6 people with two bedrooms and a large loft (bedroom), a fireplace in the living room, a kitchen, a dining area for six, a sauna, and a terrace.

Majaniemi Cabin

Majaniemi cottage is a hiker's base in the middle of Southern Konnevesi National Park, by the clear waters of Southern Konnevesi lake. While hiking the Kolmen Vuoren trail, you can stay overnight at the halfway point, enjoy the tranquility of the national park, and relax in the gentle steam of Majaniemi's old log sauna. Majaniemi is also well-suited as a base for boaters and paddlers, with a water route of approximately 8 km from Hanhitaipale harbor. From the cottage, you can also hike the 2.8 km Loukkuvuori trail, which leads to the Loukkuvuori scenic viewpoint. The cottage has beds and mattresses for four people, plus two bunk beds in the entrance area. There is also space in the yard for camping with your own tent or setting up a hammock between the old pine trees. Pets are also welcome at Majaniemi. The cottage is available for rent during the summer season, from May 1st to October 31st. The rental period always starts at 12:00 noon and ends at 11:00 AM the following day

Lumous Forest Hut accommodation in middle of nature, Hankasalmi

Lumous Forest Hut is located in Hankasalmi, Central Finland. Surrounded by the forest, Lumous provides a unique experience and a feeling of privacy. Through a panorama window, you can admire breath-taking views of pine forest and clear-watered lake in front of you. In winter, all this is decorated with a white coverage. Lumous is the starting point for your hiking tours, which can be done independently or with a guide of Luontovire. After hiking, relax your muscles in a lakeside sauna and enjoy some supper by the campfire. As the day turns into night, close your eyes while listening to the birds singing outside. Lumous accommodates 2 people in twin beds. Lighting and phone charging with solar power, biofuel heating, no running water. Drinking water provided in the hut. The hut has a dry toilet with an entrance from the porch. You can wash yourself in the nearby sauna by heating water in a fireplace and using bucket and a scoop. We will advice you with everything when checking in. The facilities include bed linen, towels, tableware for two and basic cooking utensils. Accommodation also includes the use of lakeside sauna and supplies for evening snack and breakfast, which can be prepared in a private outdoor fireplace. Next to the sauna, there is also an outdoor cooking shelter with gas stove and fridge available. For winter they will be moved to the sauna dressing room. Fridge is not in use in winter due to limited availability of solar power, food is provided in a cool bag.

Accommodation at Konnevesi Research Station

The Konnevesi Research Station, maintained by the Department of Biological and Environmental Sciences at the University of Jyväskylä, provides a scenic setting for tourists. The research station is located on the shore of Lake Konnevesi and on the promontory between its outlet river, Siikakoski. The location makes this an excellent base for fishermen, naturalists and tourists who want to explore South Konnevesi National Park in the form of day trips and stay in the station's accommodation rooms.
