Utsjoki Nature Information Hut is situated in the centre of
municipality of Utsjoki. It provides information on the River Tenojoki, which is
known for its salmon. The river, which runs along the Finnish-Norwegian border
invites fishermen and tourists to enjoy the nature of Northern Lapland. The
Nature Information Hut offers tips on hiking in Utsjoki region: in Kevo Strict
Nature Reserve and in wilderness areas nearby.

Permanent Exhibition
The permanent exhibiton at the Nature Information Hut features the salmon and
its catchingin the River Tenojoki and the river´s natural features and
history.
The Grounds
The Utsjoen retkeilyreitti Trail (35 km),
which leads into Paistunturi Wilderness Reserve, begins on the grounds of
Utsjoki Nature Information Hut. The trail is a circular trail and can be divided
into smaller sections of 25 km and 10 km. The end point for these is at Lake
Mantojärvi south of Utsjoki.
