Lemmenjoki Nature Information Hut has information on the natural
features of Lemmenjoki National Park and on the hiking possibilities there.
There is also information on the culture and livelihood of the area such as
reindeer husbandry and gold mining.

While the Nature Information Hut is closed, more information can be acquired
at Siida, Northern Lapland Nature
Centre. The Nature Information Hut is managed by Metsähallitus.

By Car

From Inari take road 955 towards Kittilä for about 35 km. Then turn right
onto road 9551 and drive along for 10 km. Lemmenjoki Nature Information Hut is
on the right side of the road before the village of Njurgulahti.
By Public Transportation

During summer a taxi travels the coach route from Inari to Lemmenjoki
once a day from Mon to Sat. Visitors should get off at the stop in the village
of Njurgulahti, but if required the taxi can also stop at the intersection by
the Nature Information Hut. The stop in Njurgulahti is 500 metres from
Lemmenjoki Nature Information Hut.

Maps and recreational fishing permits for sale.

A book called Lemmenjoki - The Largest National Park in Finland has been
published. The introduction and picture and map texts are in English, as well
as, in Finnish. The book can be ordered as well from the
Metsähallitus postal order service.

A small exhibition on the Lemmenjoki River area and its history and a
multimedia presentation on the National Park.

Reservations for rental huts can be made at Ahkun Tupa in Njurgalahti
Village.
Lemmenjoki National Park Nature Trail
A 4-km-long nature trail begins about 1,5
km from the nature information hut. It leads through the hundreds-of-years-old
pine forests of the Lemmenjoki River Valley.
Services for the Disabled
Lemmenjoki Nature Information Hut is accessible by wheelchair from its
parking area. The parking area and grounds are sand covered. The distance from
the parking area to the nature information hut is approximately 50 m. It is also
possible to drive up to the entrance of the nature information hut if necessary.
There is a ramp at the entrance to the building.
