Lauhanvuori National Park Directions and MapsDirections
Lauhanvuori National Park is located on the boundary of South Ostrobothnia
and Satakunta Regions, about 90 km from the towns of Seinäjoki or Pori, and
about 140 km from the towns of Tampere or Vaasa.

Car
- The way to the National Park is signposted from the directions of Isojoki
and Kauhajoki.
- To the National Park and
Muurahainen
Nature Information Hut drive on Kauhajoki-Honkajoki road (no 44).
- From Isojoki drive via Sarviluoma road.
By Public Transportation
- The nearest places where
coaches (www.matkahuolto.fi) stop are
in the centre of Kauhajoki and at Lauhala in Honkajoki. It is 12 km to
Lauhanvuori from Isojoki, and 10 km from Lauhala (in Honkajoki).
- One of the coach services stops between Lauhala and Kauhajoki, so that you
can get off at the fork of the road to the National Park, or at Muurahainen Nature Information Hut.
Starting Points for Excursions
- The parking areas are located at
Kivijata, Lake Spitaalijärvi, on
top of Lauhanvuori Hill and at the end of the road to Lauha
Cabin (destroyed in a fire).
- It is easiest to get to the trails from the top of Lauhanvuori Hill or
from Lake Spitaalijärvi.
